Test Your Web Site
The World Wide Web Consortium (WC3.org) is the organization that establishes the practices, guidelines and standards for the web as well as web development, and code and markup language. In an effort to create internet standards, the W3C has created a tool for web site owners and developers to test their web sites and individual pages.
If you have a wesite that is live, click on the link below, enter your full address (http://www.yourwebaddress.com)into the input box and click Validate. Within a few seconds the Validator will give you a list of errors and warnings if any exist on your site.
By entering your web address, you are not submitting any information to the WC3. The Validator will read your web site's code and give you a report. You will receive no communication from the WC3 and your information will not be collected.
If you are a web developer or if you have created your own site, I recommend that you bookmark the Validator and use it to correct any deficiencies that are generated on the report
